JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical
Manage all geological, geophysical and reservoir engineering sub-surface evaluations in exploration /exploitation and development/ production. • Set up Onshore goals, formulates strategies and required resources, execute work plans and work program to achieve goals in a timely manner. Ensures that Chief’s inputs are sought as required. • Ensures Company processes are adhered to and appropriate tools are utilized. • Liaises and coordinates deliverables with other functional teams – venture, drilling, facilities, economics, finance, etc. • Accountable for providing/coordinat ing all reserves and production forecasting and bookings with Chief RE. • Accountable for all Resources Related to Projects, Leads & Ideas and Exploration inventory database booking with Chief Geologist. • Accountable for delivering results aligned with organizational goals, metrics and BU strategy. • Accountable for subsurface technical deliverables at integrated asset/venture team level.
People
Responsible and recommend manpower & resource requirements (including consultants, 3rd party contractors) for Onshore Team. • Responsible and accountable for direct supervision and management of direct reports and their subordinate.
Ensure personal goals are established and performance appraisals completed for each team member as per established BU guidelines. Direct coaching and mentoring and completion of technical skills assessment. Defining appropriate training/developmen t needs for the staff.
Budget
Responsible for setting up Work Program and Budget for all Onshore Operating areas, acquire approval from partners and BPMIGAS. Recommend and coordinate AFE’s associated with approved Budget. Coordinating/ tracking expenditures within approved COPI/Partner/ BPMIGAS budgets. Manage representation to management, Partners and BPMIGAS (as required).
JOB QUALIFICATION: BSc degree in Geoscience or Engineering
Minimum 15 years working experience in oil and gas industry including 5 years experiences in managing geological, geophysical and reservoir engineering sub-surface evaluations and reserves and production forecasting and bookings in exploration /exploitation and development/ production stages. Broad, current technical experience with track record for highest quality. Experience/expertis e in exploration, appraisal and development programs
Previous supervision/ team lead experience and capable of mentoring and providing technical guidance within a diverse workplace. Experience in operations, project planning and coordination, and partner/government relations. Good interpersonal, communication and influencing skills. Able to represent company position with management, partners and government. Must also be able to effectively lead a diverse internal workforce.

Upstream Crude Oil Processing B.Sc in Engineering and minimum 10 years of experience. Incumbent should provide engineering to existing production facilities to identify opportunities, to address potential problems and address facility debottlenecking requirement.
Reservoir Assessment & Development Specialist B.Sc. Degree or advanced degree in Engineering with 10-15 years of related experience. He should have experience in leading, participating in and conducting integrated studies and analysis in a multidisciplinary and multicultural setting. Incumbent must have in-depth experience in oil and gas reserves estimation and assessment, production development and investment decision analysis (or economic evaluations) that incorporates risk and uncertainty.
Oil & Gas Production / Planning Specialist B.Sc Degree or advanced Degree in Engineering with 10-15 years of experience in the oil & gas consulting and/or E&P Company with significant emphasis and specialization in oil and gas production planning. He must be experienced with oil & gas gathering systems, processing facilities, and distribution systems, and should understand downstream processes for both oil and gas.
Process Engineering Specialist B. Sc in Engineering and minimum 10 years of experience in sour gas & liquid sweetening processes OR 10 years of experience and knowledge to conduct economic studies and cost analysis of different Sulfur Recovery systems of both gas plants and refineries.
Petroleum Geochemist MS Organic Geochemistry or related field in Chemistry or geology with experience in Geochemistry or PhD with 10-15 years experience related to petroleum exploration and production in the oil and gas industry.
Well Stimulation Specialist MS or PhD in Petroleum or Chemical Engineering with 10-15 experience in the area of specialty in the oil industry and/or in academia primarily in research and development.
Researcher in Artificial Lift MS or PhD in Petroleum Engineering or closely related field (e.g.; Mechanical Engineering with 10-15 experience in the area of specialty in the oil industry and/or in academia primarily in research and development.
Senior Code Developer for Reservoir Simulation Advanced degree in Petroleum Engineering or closely related field with 10-15 experience in reservoir engineering. A strong knowledge in modern Fortran 90 and C++ with strong parallel programming environment is preferred in the oil industry and/or in academia primarily in research and development.
Geophysical Researcher Seismic PhD in Geophysics or related subject (Physics or Math). Excellent programming knowledge (D, C, C++, etc.) on a modern computing environment (Linux) with 10 or more years of relevant industry research / industry experience related to the processing of seismic reflection data is desirable but not a must.
